Motorola versus Hytera: The struggle continues

In the December issue of Lands Mobile, IPCom managing director Pio Suh comments on the case of Motorola versus Hytera. Land Mobile has a readership of 9,500 and is one of the most influential publications covering the business radio space in Europe.

Pio Suh, managing director of IPCom (a patent licensing company), which has won patent litigation cases against HTC and Nokia here in the UK, decribed the overall legal contest, as a »clear-cut case«, given the way in which two German courts and the ITC in the US havve ruled against Hytera. Suh commented that the automatic injunctions in the German court cases were legitimate but a the same tim, a »quite a harsh measure«, compared to other jurisdictions where the courts still have some discretion based on principles of equity."
