Celebrating Pride Month

At IPCom we are all about innovation, and no innovation is possible without the expression of our differences. We strive to create a workplace where our employees feel safe, welcomed, heard, and valued for who they truly are. We celebrate and recognize the inherent value of our diverse workforce and see it as a key element of a strong business.

For this year’s Pride Month, we want to join the world in celebration and show our support for our LGBTQ+ community. But every celebration has its history that needs to be remembered. Pride celebration, that now cannot be imagined without rainbow flags, glitter, colorful marches, and parades, actually started as a protest. In 1969, June 28th, at a popular gay bar “Stonewall Inn” in New York City, a violent police raid occurred, which worked as catalyst for the gay liberation movement of the twentieth century. Now half a century later, there are still countries where LGBTQ+ community cannot celebrate their movement against the discriminating system and every day have to deal with negative and unfair beliefs.

IPCom’s team supports our LGBTQ+ friends, colleagues, and family members, and hope to help create a better world, where everyone, no matter their sex, language, religion, political or other opinion would feel safe and accepted for who they are.
